My name is Ellysa Arias (she/her). I have 13 years of experience working with children, young adults, and families from underserved communities throughout NYC. In my last position as a restorative justice practitioner and conflict mediator for the NYC Department of Education I oversaw a community-lead, heart-centered approach that evolved into this private practice.

On the more personal side—I am a Latinx bruja, Libra, native NYer, and nurturer. I love cultivating my space with my plant babies and bumping classic hip-hop. Reading a book by the water is a simple pleasure I cherish (check my resources page for some recs), along with immersing myself in new cultures. While traveling to Cuba to practice my salsa skills I have been opened up to a new world of love, culture, and spirit. I was born into Catholicism, found salvation in non-denominational churches as a young adult, and recently grew close to the Yoruba religion and Santería. I am grateful for this life and the opportunity to journey with people in their process of transformation.

What is Alchemy?

The concept of alchemy is simple, self-growth, but putting this idea into action is a lifelong journey aptly called “The Work.” While this journey requires you to shed light into the dark corners of yourself and your life experiences, my aim is to take a holistic approach that allows for a natural unfolding of trust, vulnerability, and healing. You are the expert of your mind, body, and spirit and I am here to walk with you as you transform your pain into purpose and power.

Why a Womxn-Centered Focus?

In my own quest towards wholeness, softness, and liberation there have been many womxn who have nurtured me along my path. I’ve chosen to focus on working with womxn to honor the sisterhood in my life and to continue this legacy with each of my clients.
